Medellin. Castle. Its origins are long before its dominion by the Moorish. The fortress was occupied by the Christians in 1234 under the command of Fernando III the Saint (Fernando III el Santo). The castle was rebuitl during the 15th century by the Count Medellin, Don Rodrigo Portocarrero Monroy. Province of Badajoz, Extremadura, Spain.
