He was ordained at the Unionchurch in 1880. He attended UnionChristian college and was an ableyoung man. In 1881 he went to Kan-sas and two years later was granted aletter as he wished to join a more con-venient conference. REV. GEORGE B. STEWART Of Wakarusa, was born at Indianapo-lis. He entered Conference as a licen-tiate in 1873 and was ordained in did good and faithful work until1881 when his name was stricken fromthe roll. He now resides at Wakarusaand is an REV. D. W. Her father was a distiller, but became a christianand a Prohibitionist later in life. Mrs. Tompkins alma Mater was Hillsdale col- lej^-o, Mich. She holds twodiplomas, one coUeg-iate, theother theolog-ical. She was ateacher for ei^-ht years in theschools of Michig^aii, beinjfsuperintendent of the Cold-water high school one year. She entered Eel RiverConference as a licentiate in1890 and was ordained at PawPaw in 18f7. She very acceptablyserved the Bellville and Olivetchurches as pastor, and hasassisted largely in buildingup the church at Elk
