This picture is in reverse. William Shakespeare, the bard, poet, and greatest of English writers, born at Stratford upon Avon on 23rd April 1564, and died on the same date in 1616. The date of his death is questionable, there is so little real evidence of him. He went to school at King's New School in Stratford and married Anne Hathaway,7 or 8 yrs his senior in 1582. He had a daughter and twin girls. He went to London and became an actor and playright and wrote all the plays he is now famous for. Only Judith (one of the twins) lived till 1680s. At some time in the 1580s he moved to London where he lived until early in the next century when he returned home to Anne Hathaway. He died on the 23rd April 1616.
