Mr. Evans Ordained To Tlie Ministry n To Become Franklin Pastor Candidate B. Hoyt Evans, memberof the Weaverville PresbyterianChurch, was ordained to the gospelministry at a called meeting ofAsheville Presbytery in his homeChurch on Sunday, July 7, and ar-rangements were made for his in-stallation at the Franklin Presbyte-rian Church on Sunday, July 21, at8:00 Rev. Mr. Evans, a recent graduateof Princeton Theological Seminary,Princeton, N. J., is a son of Mr. andMrs. Ben. H. Evans, of is also a graduate of DavidsonCollege, and has accepted a call tobe the pastor of the Franklin con-gregation, where he went immediatelyafter his ordination. Twelve ministers and four rulingelders were present to hear the trialsermon of the candidate and to wit-ness the examination conducted bythe Presbytery. Included in the rul-ing elders were the father of thecandidate, and Edward G. Roberts,of the West Asheville Church, acousin of the candidate. (Conti
