A Chalkidian helmet and a pair of greaves, 4th/5th century BC Bronze. The skull with a central ridge and a pronounced contoured gable, decorated with palmette, on the brow. The gable ends in a large volute spiral on each side. Tall, sharply offset neck-guard, with a transverse reinforcement bulge and an offset rim. Riveted hinges for the curved cheekpieces, fragmentary pins for the attachment. Height 24 cm, with the cheekpieces 28 cm. Weight 876 g. Green-reddish brown patina.
