A Galápagos sea lion becomes a pillow for her pup as they rest together on the pink sand beach of Rabida Island in the Galapagos Islands (Archipiélago de Colón), a province of Ecuador in the Pacific Ocean off the west coast of South America. This species of sea lion (Zalophus wollebaeki) is almost exclusive to the Galapagos and has a very social nature toward other wildlife as well as human visitors to the islands.
