The living is a vicarate inthe Diocese of Bath and Wells; church name St. Barnabas. Ahill in the town commands a fine view; forty-one towns and vil-lages may be seen from it. Where Rev. Peter1 Thacher was born has not yet beendiscovered, nor the exact date of his birth; but as I havepreviously shown he must have been born as early as 1549, andpossibly as early as 1545, in order to have been Vicar of QueenCamel in 1574.
