From the studio of (James Luke) Clark, Central Hall Buildings, Waterloo, Blyth. In 1897 James Luke Clark this Photographer, was operating from 1 Central Hall Buildings, Waterloo. He is still there in 1902 but by 1910 the entry reads ‘James Luke Clark (Mrs.), Photographer. Same address. (he appears to have died and his wife took over).Source: Kelly's directories. This helps date photo to around 1902 - the hat the nanny is wearing dates to around this time. Nannies were often considered a rank above maids and other servants and were given extra privileges and freedoms
