Nor is itfatal when brought in contact with a mucous surface,such as the interior of the stomach or the eye. Thecolor of the Cobra di Capello, which usually is fromthree to four feet long, varies greatly. In semespecies the body is brownish-olive, and the spectaclesare white, edged with black.
