Type, M. rihbei. Proboscis fully developed; palpi with the 2iid joint obliquely upturned, reacliing to above \ of head and fringed with hair in front and behind, the 3rd porrect, long, slender, and somewhat dilated at extremity; frons smooth, with slight tuft of hair above; eyes large, round ; antennaj of male minutely ciliated; tliorax clothed with scales and hair mixed, and without crests; fore tibite and Ist joint of tarsus of male fringed with long hair, the mid and hind tibia; smootiily scaled, the fure and hind tibiaj not spined ; abdomen smoothly scaled and witliout crests. Fore wing with the costa highly arched towards apex which is rounded, the termen evenly curved and strongly crenulate; vein 3 from well before angle of cell; 5 from just above angle ; 6 from upper angle ; 9 from 10 auiistomosing with 8 to form the areole ; 11 from cell. Iliud wing witii the termen liighly crenulate ; the cell about one-third length of wing; vein 3 from just before angle; 4, 5 from angle; 6
