American soldiers camouflage Street 18 in the village of Soppe-le-Bas, which serves as the headquarters for a US Infantry regiment during World War I. The camouflage is intended to prevent enemy observation balloons from monitoring troop movements in the area. Official drawings by American Army artists are being utilized for this purpose.
