Tidal power station. Construction of SeaGen in Strangford Lough, Northern Ireland. This is the world's first commercial tidal stream power station, using a turbine to harness the energy in tidal currents. It is four times more powerful than any other tidal stream generator in the world, producing Megawatts across 18-20 hours a day, while the tides flow into and out of Strangford Lough.
