Daggers (1800-1900) The end of each pommel has been carved with a figure taken from popular Thai mythology which was strongly influenced by Indian culture. The kneeling figure with its hands together is Hanuman, a close ally of Rama from the Ramayana. The two figures on top of one another are ogres, while the beaked figure is the half-human half-eagle Garuda.
