The Royal Yacht Squadron / Cowes castle - Isle of Wight. The Castle was built in 1539 from orders by Henry VIII and was purchased along with the grounds by the Royal Yacht Squadron (founded in 1815) in 1917. The RYS / Castle is the focal / organisation point for Cowes Week and various other yachting regattas throughout the sailing year : Cowes, Isle Of Wight, England, UK : May 2007.
