Commanded at New Madrid, Madrid Bend, Island No. 10 and later East Tenn. Dept. Commanded division at Murfreesboro. After war, teacher and surveyor in Sevier Co. Died at Little Rock, Ark., Jan. 2, 1879. Tennessee Historical Commission
