The Tyne Bridge, Newcastle, England

Linking the City of Newcastle with the town of Gateshead, the Tyne Bridge is the most celebrated of all the Tyne's bridges. The bridge was officially opened on 10 October 1928 by King George V and has since become a defining symbol of Tyneside. In the distance is the Millenium Bridge - the world's only tilting bridge - with the Baltic centre, and on the right is the silver building of the Sage Gateshead concert centre.
