Cigarette card with illustration of H. L. (Harold) Daniell's 499 cc Norton motor cycle. Norton based in Birmingham, England manufactured bikes since the start of the twentieth century. Daniell rode this bike to victory in the Isle of Man's Senior TT motorcycle race of 1938. The card was part of an old set of cigarette cards from WD and HO Wills, Bristol and London. The set is entitled 'Speed'. These cards were given away singly in packets of cigarettes in 1938. They were (and are still) popular collector's items - vintage nineteen thirties graphics for editorial use only.
