MODEL RELEASED. Skull reconstruction. Forensic scientist using wax and a wire frame to reassemble the remains of a human skull. Skulls are rebuilt to provide a base for facial reconstruction when there is no other means of identifying skeletal remains. The aim is to provide a likeness of the victim, which might allow them to be identified from missing persons records for example. The face may be reconstructed with modelling clay or digitally by computer.
