Eid al-Fitr , also known as Hari Raya Aidilfitri in Malaysia, is a Muslim celebration that marks the end of Ramadan, the fasting month after the sighting of the new crescent moon. It signifies the victory of personal human self-restraint and abstinence, and symbolizes purification and renewal.
