At this time the dental germ or bulb(called by some dental papilla) makes its appearancein the tissue immediately below the bulbous expansionof the enamel organ, and by its upward growth causesan invagination of the enamel organ (Fig, 7). This enamel organ, which now rests on the dentalbulb as a double cap or hood, is composed of an outerand an inner epithelial layer, having between them aprotoplasmic mass and a large quantity of the epithelialcells which came down with the process.
