YAUCO, Puerto Rico (Sept. 30, 2017) - Electricians Mate 1st Class Jeffery Quartararo, assigned to amphibious assault ship USS Kearsarge (LHD 3), inspects a switchboard control during a hospital assessment at Pavia Hospital in Yauco, Puerto Rico. The Department of Defense is supporting the Federal Emergency Management Agency, the lead federal agency, in helping those affected by Hurricane Maria to minimize suffering and as one component of the overall whole-of-government response efforts.
