Monument to the 2004 Red Sea air disaster. On January 3rd 2004, Flash Airlines flight FSH604, a Boeing 737-300 bound for Paris via Cairo for re-fueling, crashed into the Red Sea. The flight was a passenger charter flight with 135 passengers, and 2 pilots with 5 cabin crew , and 6 off duty crew members on board. The airplane was destroyed on impact with the Red Sea with no survivors. The pilots were unable to correct an error on take off were the aircraft started a wrong turn. This monument situated on the Hadaba peninsula is dedicated to those who lost their lives in this air disaster
