Smith was born June 18, 1819, and died May 16, married Helen O., daughter of Richard Oakley. They have onedaughter, Helen, who married Wm. S. Lawson, Esq. They have twochildren, Joel S. and Annie. Edmund Thomas Smith married Amanda M., daughter of WilliamWickham Mills. They left two children, Mrs. Minnie M. Mott andDubois. The latter married Frances Amelia Ellswort
