Cars from Paris run every half-hour from 8 a. m. till 10 ; fromVersailles every half-hour from 6 till ; fare 1 fr., outside85 c.; to Sevres in 70 min., to Versailles in l^U hour. Another set of carsplies on the same line as far as Sevres (p. 307). For some distance the road skirts the Seine, passing the bridgesat the W. end of the city, and leading under the new Trocaderobridge, which crosses the Quai de Billy from the Pont dlena to the. 15. It then passes the almost unbroken rows of housesbelonging to the suburbs of Passy and Auteuil (p. 167), intersectsthe fortifications (the road to St. Cloud diverges to the right), crossesthe Seine, and reaches Sevres. The drive from Sevres to Versaillesoccupies 40 min. more; the road passes under the railway viaduct,and soon reaches the Avenue de Paris. Terminus in the PlacedArmes. Versailles. Arrival. The Station of the Rive Droite Line is nearly 1 M. distantfrom the palace: omnibus 30 c.; cabs IV4 (one-horse) or IV2 fr.
