Manitou, the Saratoga of the West, is close under the veryshadow of Pikes Peak, almost surrounded by lofty mountains,at the entrance to the Ute Pass, and but a little way from theRuxton and Williams caiions; its fountains of health havebubbled and blessed mankind for centuries.
