Lieutenant Yau, assigned to USS Whidbey Island (LSD 41) is promoted to Lieutenant Commander aboard the decommissioned Iowa-Class Battleship USS Wisconsin (BB 64). The ceremony took place in front of the Battleship’s iconic turret #1 with members of his command and family present. The ceremony was coordinated by the Hampton Roads Naval Museum, located next to the Battleship as part of the Nauticus Campus in Downtown Norfolk, Virginia.
