The superintendent of the factory is George R. Stetson. Theoperatives employed by the company are largely men who were bornin this city and educated in the public schools. They are well paidand constitute an exceptionally intelligent and effective body ofworkmen. The corporation is remarkable for keeping its men in itsemploy a long time.
