Headless statue at La Guarida, Havana
Entrance hall & staircase to the most famous Paladar (family owned restaurant) in Havana, Cuba. The building was the location for the renowned film Fresa y chocolate (strawberry and chocolate). Typical of colonial mansions that were appropriated by poorer cubans when the rich fled the revolution. It has lost much of it's splendour as they were unable to pay the costs of the upkeep, but Cuban ingenuity shows all over the building where occupants have wired their own electricity or connected their own plumbing.
