Wolf Reik, German geneticist. Reik is leader of the Epigenetics ISP (Institute Strategic Programme) at the Babraham Institute, in Babraham, Cambridgeshire, UK. The Institute, founded in 1948, acquired its current name in 1993. It is a major research centre for epigenetics. Reik's research group studies epigenetic reprogramming in mammalian development, including subjects such as DNA methylation and histone marks. Photographed at the 'Epigenetics, Reprogramming and Development' conference hosted by the French Academy of Sciences at the Institut de France, Paris, France, from 14-15 September 2010.
