He came to London in 1877,and was admitted a solicitor in the following year. Membersof the firm have acted as Under-Sheriff for Sussex and DeputySheriff of Kent for over a century. Since the vear 1890Mr. Bartlett has held both of these offices, except for theyears 1890 and 1897, when he was Deputy Sheriff for bothcounties.
