Porch by Inigo Jones for the old St Paul's Cathedral

illustration from London Pictures in pen & pencil published in 1890. The Old St Paul's cathedral was in severe structural decline by the 17th century. Restoration work by Inigo Jones was halted by the English Civil War. Later Sir Christopher Wren was working on another restoration when the cathedral was destroyed in the 1666 Great Fire of London. After which the current cathedral was built on the site & designed by Wren.
