Turquoise, Caribbean Ocean View of Petite Martinique from the Shore of Mopian Island With Small Waves and Reef: Saint Vincent and the Grenadines #2.

Mopian island is known as the smallest island in the world. It is set in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and is really a sand spit. It can only be reached by boat and there is no vegetation. A small palm thatched parasol provides the only shade on the diminutive sandy outcrop. It has often featured in advertising as the ubiquitous desert island and is quite inspirational. There are stunning 360 degree views from here of the islands of Grenada as well as the nearby Palm Island. The nearby, Union Island is one of the many islands served by scheduled and charter flights to connect throughout the Caribbean and essentially to Barbados. Several ferries also run from here. Union Island had only one building left undamaged on the whole island when Hurricane Beryl hit in July idyllic image of this tiny island belies the fragility of the environment which was so badly damaged after this image was taken.
