Troche is training with Platoon 3073, India Company, 3rd Recruit Training Battalion, and is scheduled to graduate Oct. 10, 2014. "I joined the Marine Corps because I wanted the challenge. They teach you the discipline and morals and values that you're going to use for the rest of your life to become a better person," said Troche, who graduated from Liberty High School in Kissimmee, Fla., in 2012. Troche, shipped from Recruiting Station Kissimmee. Approximately 20,000 recruits come to Parris Island annually for the chance to become United States Marines by enduring 13 weeks of rigorous, transformative training.
