Goldsbary, who is traveling in the western territory forthe Co., has written local friends from Den- ver that he will be home about Novem- ber 1. He stated that the Denver trade had already been visited by snow this season. Lambert Pedersen has been moving a quantity of potted ferns from his green- houses to the wholesale and retail trade. All of the stock shown has been of ex- p(>llent size. Kenney's Home of Flowers has been receiving some exceptional African mari- golds of late, and there has been a good demand for this offering. Brisk funeral work marked the latter part of last week. Irving Harris held a special showing of pompon dahlias during the last week, and booked a nice lot of orders. The Orpheum Floral Co. has been fea- turing medium-priced baskets made up in a variety of styles all last week, and this window display proved the magnet wliich drew many customers into the sliop. In the prize window showing on Na- tional Candy day, October 8, the second prize for Seattle was captured by the Hayncs store with a display of black velvet drapes before which were set a large box of candy and a vasa'of beau- tiful Ophelia roses. 7;he judges stated that the use of the flowers had a great .leal to do with this wis^ow receiving the award.
