In neglected cases of this character, tenotomy andforcible correction or even subtrochanteric osteotomy may benecessary to overcome the secondary deformity. Per-sistent psoas contraction is almost always a symptom of abscessabout the origin or in the substance of the muscle, and when itis accompanied by pain it is always an evidence of progres
