Marines eat chow during Exercise Joint Assault Signals Company Black, Waiouru Training Area, New Zealand, Oct. 5, 2018. The Marines are radio operators and forward observers with 1st Brigade, 5th Air Naval Gunfire Liaison Company, III Marine Expeditionary Force Information Group, III MEF. The Marines worked with components of the New Zealand Army, including engineers and intelligence analysts, to provide opposing forces during Phantom Major, a training event that tests upcoming platoon commanders.
