Tree strong grower, hardy, fruit large, often angular, greenish-white or pale yellow; flesh yellowish-white, granular, juicy, sub-acid, good. November to March. Winesap. Medium, conical, dark red; very smooth. Acid to sub-acid, juicy and rich, very valuable for both family and market. Tree very hardy and an early and constant bearer. December to April. Wolf River. Season, October to January. One of the largest apples grown.
