Alfred Hoffmann - "Empress Elisabeth", Vienna, dated 1905 Bust in patinated bronze. A depiction of the empress in middle-age, her head inclined slightly to the side. The reverse signed "Alf. Hofmann 1905". Surfaces lightly stained in places. Height 53 cm. Alfred Hofmann (1879 - 1958) was active in Vienna as a sculptor, medallist and gem cutter and was a member of the Vienna Secession from 1906 - 1939.
