Although the scheduled opening game which President Roosevelt was supposed to open today was put off until Friday because of drizzling rain, both teams journeyed to Arlington National Cemetery this morning to lay a wreath at the grave of baseball's founder. Gen. Abner Doubleday, who as a West Point cadet was credited with having laid out the first ball diamond in 1839.
