A few weeks later he NewYork to Hazleton, Pa., where Miss Stine wasliving. She became his wife in July, the sameyear. He lived in ITazleton until the beginningof the Civil War, when he was one of the first toenlist for nine months service. After the ex-l)iratiou of nine months he returned to hisfamily in Hazleton, and a few months latermoved his family to Hyde Park. He re-enlisted ^larch 15, 1864 for three yearsin Co. A, 11th Reg. Pa. Cavalry, Ijut was dis-charged after the close of the Avar, on Aug. 13, ship, where he is now living, from Thoma
