Rev. Dr. Coles pastorate began with a debt of $7,650,of which $1,650 was paid at once. In 1868 the churchchapel was built adjoining the church, the parsonage hav-ing been removed to the corner of Prospect and ClintonStreets, and continued to be the pastors residence till thespring of 1872. Improvements were made in the church costing nearly$6,400. In the spring of 1872 the Prospect Street parsonagewas sold for $7,500, and the fine parsonage on 122 Warbur-ton Avenue was bought for $16,000. In the same year thei
