Gaultheria procumbens (Wintergreen). 3 inches high, with pure waxy white flowers, fol- lowed by scarlet berries that remain all winter. 10 cts. each, 75c. per doz.; collected plants. Ilexopaca (Holly). Well- known and popular as used for Christmas deco- ration. It is easily han- dled, if nursery-grown plants are used, and the leaves removed. We alwavs remove the leaves in shipping, unless or- dered not to do so. Fine plants, 3 years, trans- planted, 30cts. each, $2 25 per doz.; smaller, 20 cts. each, $ per doz. — glabra. One of the most beautiful of our native evergreen shrubs, and but little known in gar- dens. It makes a round, compact shrub 2 to 6 feet high, with almost round, dark green foliage. We can offer some fine plants taken up with large ball, of earth, 2 to 3 feet high and very broad, boxed for shipment, $ each, $12 per doz.; small plants, 1 foot high, with ball, boxed, 50 cts. each, $5 per doz. Kalmia latifolia (Laurel). This has- few equals among broad-leaved ever- greens. When covered with its clusters- of white flowers it is superb, and it would be well worth growing for foliage alone.
