The clachan, or village, of Achdivach in the upper reaches of Glen Coiltie above Drumnadrochit and Loch Ness. This settlement was cleared in 1850 with the population of 30 relocating into the village below or, in some instances, to the United States. There is little left of Achdivach now other than the footings of five or so houses, some fields and enclosures along with the remains of a corn kiln set just outside the perimeter.
