The home of painter and author Holger Drachmann 1846 1908 Skagen Denmark

Danish Holger Drachmann (1846 to 1908) was one of the most popular and influential poets of his time and a well known painter as well. The small fishing village, Skagen, due to its delicate light, housed many of the important painters of its time. Drahmann bought this house in 1902 and joined the painter colony. His house opened as a museum in 1911. Today many of the most influential "Skagens Painters" works are here on display, among others øyer, Laurits Tuxen, Anna and Michael Ancher and August Tørsleff.
