A new altar and altar steps and new choir stalls have beenamong the gifts of liberal donors; the last, with a new organ gallery, has beenplaced at the west end, where the organ formerly in St. Stephens, Walbrook, hasbeen erected. The smiths forge is to disappear speedily, and it is hoped that asufficient sum will soon be raised to complete a work that, so far as the actualinterior of the church is concerned, was well begun, and has for the mostpart been resolutely accomplished.
