He married Rhoda Good-fellow, of Clark County, and they hadthree children, namely: Rumina A., bornin 1858, who resides with her brother,Alva B.; Kate C, born in 1860, who alsoresides with her brother; and Alva mother of these children was bornin 1830 and died in 1867. Alva B. Ilurd attended the countryschools through boyhood and ever sincehas been concerned with the affairs of thehome farm, which his father bought in1864 from Philip Smith. He is a memberof the Methodist Episcopal Church at. MR. AND MRS. BIRCH R. TAYLOR AND REPEESENTATIVE CITIZENS. 913 Brighton and holds official positions in family is one well-known and highlyesteemed in Harmony Township. BIRCH R. TAYLOR, a general farmerand respected citizen of Mad River Town-ship, owns one hundred acres of fine farm-ing laud near Enon. He was born on hisfathers farm in Clark County, Ohio, Feb-ruary 20, 1869, and is one of a family offive children born to his parents who wereLlewellyn and Delilah (Barfield) was reared on the home farm andobtained his education in the publicschools. Shortly after his marriage hemoved to his present farm, which hisfather had bought in 1879 from DavidBailey, and which was known as the oldCox farm.
