, Duisburg, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany - Halder Alsumer mountain. The Alsumer Berg, also called Beecker Heide, is a former scree, located in Duisburg directly on the banks of the Rhine, about 50 meters above the Rhine rises. The heap is today a landscape protection area. From Alsumer Berg you have a nice view of the industrial backdrop of the steelworks and the coking plant Schwelgern as well as the steelworks Bruckhausen of Thyssen Krupp and the power plant Duisburg Walsum. View from an observation deck on the operating system of the coking plant Schwelgern. Gas is flared off and the coke is extinguished.
