The nuns of the abbey sold the panels just after the French Revolution to Comtesse Walsh de Serrant, of Château Plessy-Macé at Anjou. They remained there until they were sold & subsequently dispsersed in 1888. Originally the suite of tapestries comprised 4 to 6 panels, but have been cut apart into at least 11 seperate pieces illustrating 21 scenes, with each illustrating 1 to 3 subjects each.
