A perfectly hardy Japanese species of the blue Gentian, which comes into bloom in October and continues in good condition throughout November. Its large heads of fresh blue flowers attract much attention at a season when there are but few outdoor flowers. 75 cts. each. New Ornamental Grass. EUEAEIA JAPOISICA ZEBRINA STRICT A. Covered from August to October with brilliant old-gold suffused with bright terra-cotta flowers, changing as they mature to a wallflower red. Riverton Beauty. Another variety which originated with us, and which is entirely distinct, the flowers being of a rich lemon-yellow, with a large cone of purplish-black, the two colors forming a most pleasing combination. The plant is of strong, vigorous growth, attaining a height of 3 to 4 feet, and a most profuse bloomer. Autumnale Rubrum. Another splendid variety, the flowers of which are a bright terra-cotta throughout without suffusion of any other color.
