LOUIS SUBURBAN ROLLING STOCK As a result of the recent fire at St. Louis, which destroyed theSuburban Railway sheds at De Hodiamont, patrons of thatroad may now ride in the companys two palatial private cars,Suburban and Kinloch. So many of the regular cars wereburned that the management has been obliged to bring intoregular service all available rolling stock to handle the pas-sengers, and among other things it put on the private cars. The Kinloch cost about $10,000, and is considered one ofthe finest private street cars ever operated on an electric Suburban is also a handsome car, having cost more than $6,000. In these cars many of the distinguished guests of St. Louis and the Worlds Fair Company have been hauled. They. KUINS OF ST. LOUIS CAR IIOUSKS have also been used for trolley parties, and have always at-tracted attention. The Suburban fire destroyed sixty-three passenger cars, ofwhich fifteen were new and twenty were remodeled. and Houseman, of the St. Charles road, are running theircars on the Suburban. Captain Robert McCulloch, generalmanager of the Chicago City Railway, ordered the St. LouisCar Company to turn over to the Suburban twenty new carsbuilt for his company, as they are the same type as the Subur-bans new cars. Li addition, the St. Louis Car Company willdeliver immediately ten reconstructed cars. These arrange-ments have enabled the Suburban to operate more new carsthan it had prior to the fire. As it is, cars are l:)eing run at intervals of five minutes, andoftener during the busy hours morning and evening. According to the oflicial report of the company losses to theinsurance companies by the fire were: On the rolling stock,$145,000; on
